Rate limits & quota

Each account has a per-minute limit and a monthly quota (see Pricing). Usage is shared across all keys of the account.

• 5xx responses are refunded; 4xx are counted.
• The monthly quota resets on the 1st at 00:00 UTC.
• On 429, wait Retry-After seconds. content.window tells you whether it was the minute or month limit.
• Retry only 429, 502, 503, 504 and network errors, with exponential backoff.
